Milnerton Beach Front

Milnerton Beach Front

Milnerton Beach Front offers a number of things to do

Beach strolls

This beach definitely has the best surface for romantic long walks, be it for sunrise or sunset. The beach strip is approximately 3km walk from the beginning where the lagoon runs into the ocean, at Lagoon Beach, all the way up to the beginning of Sunset Beach, which is the next neighbouring beach towards Bloubergstrand side.

The sand is generally soft and flat, and the views of the entire Table Bay and the iconic Table Mountain are priceless.

Remember the Cape Town wind can get very choppy at times, so its not advisable to go strolling along the beach then, but if you are a bit of an extremist then grab your board and head on down for some awesome sessions of either kitesurfing or surfing, as the wind can provide some excellent conditions for these popular sports.

Maestros Restaurant

This place has been going for years, its definitely all about the location but offers a good selection of mouth watering dishes, from seafood to steaks, to pasta's and to match the scenery their sundowner cocktail menu is overwhelmingly interesting. They also provide a great outdoor patio, for when the wind is not pumping.

 Milnerton Golf Course

This is by far the most beautiful golf course I think, with the stunning backdrop of Milnerton and Table Mountain views. After a good game of golf, you can go park off on the deck and watch the sunset, with a good cold beer or glass of wine in your hands. It is located right next door to Maestro's Restaurant, so if an evening dinner is on the cards, a good game of golf can be ended off quite nicely with a delicious sit down dinner. The Golf Club also offers yummy foods - ask for their menu and then decide.

Trendy drinking spots

The promenade has a number of smallist but quaint drinking spots, namely The Beach Tavern which is a very popular one. Perfect for a round of drinks with your mates after a good surf session.

Rememebr safety first!

As beautiful as this beach is, remember to be cautious at all times as the beach is wide and far stretched, with a number of dunes huddled with grassy reed patches. At night time this is not a good spot to be caught alone, but just as anywhere else in the world, night time brings out a very different act of entertainment. So always be sure to be in a group of friends if you feel a night stroll is on the cards.
