Muizenberg Beach

Muizenberg Beach

Muizenberg Beach is a very popular beach, well known for it's slightly warmer ocean.

The sandy shoreline stretches over 200m with approximately 200 parking bays. This beach has been at the top of the Cape Town beach list for a good 100 years, and attracts visitors from all around. The beach strip offers a number of tasty eateries, as well as awesome little shops. You can still see the colourful changing booths that were once in action, which can now be found in 100's of photographs.

Amenities at Muizenberg Beach

This beach is popular for families as its nearby Pavilion offers a water slide, outdoor swimming pool, and a putt-putt (mini-golf) course. The walk along the Muizenberg promenade offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beach, the rock pools, as well as engage in some whale watching (June to November). There are numerous restaurants and interesting shops in the back beach area, as well as local beach vendors who sell a variety of snacks, cold drinks, fast food and ice creams.
